DMM Construction consists of 3 generations and nearly 100 years of expertise in the building industry. Each generation of builders has passed down a dedication to integrity that is woven into every one of our projects. DMM maintains a commitment to fine craftsmanship and detail for every client, from its beginnings building homes in the cotton fields of North Louisiana to large-scale projects in Baton Rouge, Covington, and across the southern part of Louisiana.
With the company’s legacy now in the hands of Adam Martin, third generation, their commitment to clients is stronger than ever. The firm’s experience in and around the local church have inspired them to focus on building spaces that nurture relationships. Combining that love of relational spaces with the family’s dedication to detail and craftsmanship, DMM Construction is committed to building high functioning spaces where you work, worship, and live.
Founder/Legacy Builder
Originally from Winnesboro, a quaint country town known for cotton and soybean farming in north Louisiana, Mike is a 2nd generation builder. As one of thirteen children Mike was taught early that a firm handshake and honest word was enough to form a lifelong friendship and contract. With “sawdust running through his veins” since he was a young child, fine craftsmanship and quality construction are an integral part of Mike’s heritage.
Mike used his talent in his early years as an elevated concrete formwork Superintendent on many high-rise buildings in downtown New Orleans. He was always driven for growth and thus in his late 20’s, he decided owning his own company was a natural step. Over his career, Mike has built 250+ new custom homes across Louisiana.
Mike has been married to his wife of over 43 years and has two children. Mike’s commitment to family, community, and delivering quality homes to his clients remains priority one.
President
Adam Martin has the privilege of leading the firm as the third generation of Martin builders. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management with a minor in Business from Louisiana State University. He is also a graduate of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, where he earned his Masters of Divinity.
Adam spent the first 12 years of his industry experience working for a very respectable design build firm, constructing commercial projects across the Gulf South. Some of his most notable projects were The Chapel at First Baptist Church Covington, LA, a New Campus of First Baptist Church Denham Springs, LA, and The Bayou Church Expansion in Lafayette, LA.
Now as President of Martin Building Group, Adam carries his family’s building legacy forward. He is humbled to lead the MBG team and takes pleasure in developing new innovations to continue growing. He strives to listen to his clients’ vision and guide them to create a space that is tailored to their needs. He takes special care to plan and coordinate the details of every project in order to create unique experiences.
When he isn’t helping people build their visions, Adam deeply enjoys teaching and equipping churches. He is a modern voice in church facility planning and design through consulting, events, and publications. He also serves as a deacon and teacher in his local church.
Adam loves all things outdoors - hunting, working the land, and time with their field golden retriever! He is married to Katie and together, they are blessed with three beautiful children.
